To ensure safe leftovers, store food in the refrigerator or freezer within 2 hours (or within 1 hour on a hot day). Use airtight containers and make sure refrigerated leftovers remain below 40°F and are consumed within 3 to 4 days. Cooked poultry can be stored in the freezer at a temperature below 0°F for approximately 4 months.

I recently followed some of the tips in this article on food storage, and they’ve worked wonders for me. I stored some chorizo properly, and it kept the flavors fresh for my asado. Definitely useful advice for keeping food quality high!
