Boneless skinless chicken breasts are an excellent source of low-fat protein, and have become a kitchen staple in many households looking to prepare healthier meals. To find out which brand is best, we tested six popular brands and broiled them without any seasoning.

In the end, our favorite was the Empire Kosher bird, its superior flavor enhanced every chicken dish we tested. The koshering process, similar to brining, involves coating the chicken with salt to draw out any impurities, which also results in moist, flavorful meat.
